Since 2006, the San Diego Business Journal has been facilitating the program to honor employers that benefit the county’s businesses and economy. The awards receive hundreds of submissions from employers throughout San Diego County every year.  To be considered for the honor, applicants submit to an intensive two-part process. First, the company’s benefits, policies, and philosophies are evaluated by the San Diego Business Journal. Then, each nominated workplace must administer a companywide survey, in which employees anonymously assess their satisfaction with the business as it pertains to items such as compensation, benefits, company culture, and more.
