PBO Advisory Group Proudly Sponsors Navy EODA Golf Tournament

Last month, PBO Advisory Group sponsored the Navy EOD Association San Diego Chapter’s 1st Annual Commodore’s Cup Golf Tournament. The inaugural event was held at Admiral Baker Golf Course in San Diego on April 29 in support of the association’s mission to unite active duty, veteran and retired personnel who are serving or have served in Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

With attendance and support from individuals and groups across San Diego, including 112 golfers and 38 other attendees and volunteers, the tournament raised a total of $13,000. The proceeds will be used to fund national events including Family Day on both the east and west coasts, which foster fraternal relations among the military and veteran communities by bringing them together to celebrate with fun activities. The Navy EOD Association’s Family Days promote unity and camaraderie among veteran and active-duty families.

In addition to the trophies presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, awards were also given to the participants closest to the pin and who had the longest drives. The Commodore’s Cup was presented to the active-duty EOD team who received the lowest score. Each year, the cup will be transferred to and displayed at the unit command of the winning team.

Navy EOD is a 501(c)(19) non-profit Veterans Support Organization made up of past, present, and legacy members who have served, are currently serving, or strive to serve in Naval Special Operations. The organization works to inspire and encourage service in the Naval Special Operations community through events, engagement, and empowerment of their community, as well as participating in advocacy and providing aid for veterans and their families.

PBO Advisory Group is proud to have sponsored an event that supports such an important and impactful cause.  To learn more about the Navy EOD Association, please visit the organization’s website.
