Randy Barnes serves as the Director of Pro Back Office’s new Business Advisory Services. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Randy leads the Governance, Risk and Compliance group providing PBO clients with “best practices” strategies and plans covering forensic and internal audit support, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, mergers and acquisitions process redesign, operations integrations, and financial system installations and implementations.
Prior to PBO, Randy Barnes and the Governance, Risk and Compliance Group were part of IPSA International, a global investigative and regulatory risk mitigation company. Root9b, the parent company of IPSA, choose to divest IPSA and its regulatory and risk mitigation business to focus solely on its cyber security ventures.
“Joining PBO is a great fit for IPSA and PBO clients,” says Randy. “The ability for us to leverage our existing relationships to deliver new services to our clients and improve their overall business operations is very exciting. With PBO’s deep pool of experts focused on operational accounting and strategic consulting, we are well positioned to make PBO the premier provider of business advisory services in the Pacific Southwest region.”
Randy is a strongly motivated partner to help his clients and colleagues towards achieving their goals. As the head girls’ volleyball coach for El Capitan High School in Lakeside, CA, that same motivation helps his volleyball team achieve their goals as well. Last season, his team succeeded as the CIF San Diego Section D3 Champions—the first CIF Championship for girls volleyball in the school’s history!
In addition to coaching volleyball, Randy also enjoys playing World Team Tennis, cycling, shooting sporting clays and spending time with his wife and family.
