10 Questions with Our New CEO Francesca San Diego

Some Serious – Some Fun

Anyone who knows our new CEO Fran San Diego, knows that she is a serious businessperson who also likes having fun! To introduce you to both sides of Fran, we posed to her 10 questions.

1. Describe your idea of a perfect day.

There are so many perfect days – a day skiing in the mountains, a day hiking with friends and family, or a day hanging with my sisters doing a puzzle. That said, those are special days that I could not do every day.  A good “typical day” for me would be an early morning walk in nature, some great meetings with PBO Advisory Group’s internal team to move all of our objectives forward and then a family dinner with my daughter and husband.

2. What is your favorite childhood memory?

Climbing trees in the springtime after the winter was over.

3. What is your favorite place in the world?

Dubrovnik, Croatia on the Adriatic Sea. It is beautiful and the people are so kind and generous.

4. Who inspires you?

Not to sound cheesy but our small business owner clients inspire me. They wear so many hats and are dedicated to their employees, customers, and their product/service. Small business owners are the backbone of the U.S. economy. So often, big corporations get all the attention, but it is the small businesses that generate much of the activity that fuels the economy.

5. If you weren’t a finance professional/CEO, what would you be doing?

A conductor in an orchestra. It is amazing to me how a conductor can bring so many different musicians together to make beautiful art.

6. What’s your favorite office snack?

Trail mix – the team always has good healthy snacks for our meetings.

7. If you could have any celebrity work in the PBO office, who would it be?

Martin Luther King, Jr. I would love to learn his gift for inspiring people toward a common goal while doing it with grace and peace.

8. What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

Stretch and express gratitude before I get out of bed.

9. When you make a resolution, do you stick to it?

For the most part. I would say I attempt to have resolutions that are attainable.

10. What excites you the most about the future of PBO Advisory?

I am excited for the incredible talent that we have amassed at PBO Advisory to be able to serve our clients’ needs. Most businesses have so much work and not enough talent to accomplish all of their financial and human capital needs and I am thrilled that we can serve these businesses.

If you’d like to learn more about PBO Advisory and how we serve businesses, please reach out to Fran.
